Terms of Service

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before purchasing or using any SprinkleSmarter product. By completing a purchase or using the product, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. The product

SprinkleSmarter is a residential irrigation controller consisting of hardware (the physical unit) and embedded software (the web-based control application that runs on the device). It is sold as a complete, ready-to-install unit. No ongoing subscription is required; the software is included with your purchase and licensed to you for as long as you own the hardware.

2. Purchase and payment

All orders are processed through Stripe's secure checkout. By placing an order you agree to pay the listed price at the time of purchase. Prices are in U.S. dollars. We reserve the right to change prices at any time; the price shown when you check out is the price you pay.

3. Shipping and delivery

We ship to addresses within the contiguous United States. Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout but are not guaranteed. Risk of loss passes to you when the carrier accepts the shipment. If your shipment is lost in transit, contact us at sales@sprinklesmarter.com and we will work with you to resolve it.

4. Returns and refunds

We accept returns within 30 days of delivery for any reason. The unit must be returned in its original condition and packaging. To initiate a return, contact us at sales@sprinklesmarter.com and we will provide return shipping instructions. Refunds are issued to the original payment method once we receive and inspect the returned unit.

If your unit arrives damaged or does not function as described, contact us within 30 days of delivery and we will make it right at no cost to you.

5. Software license

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the SprinkleSmarter software solely in connection with the hardware unit you purchased. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the software. If you sell or transfer the hardware unit, the license transfers with it to the new owner.

6. Installation and use

SprinkleSmarter is designed as a drop-in replacement for standard residential irrigation controllers. Installation involves low-voltage (24 VAC) wiring. You are responsible for ensuring that installation is performed correctly and in compliance with all applicable local codes and regulations. If you are not comfortable with electrical wiring, hire a qualified professional. We are not responsible for damage caused by improper installation.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SPRINKLESMARTER PRODUCTS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE PRODUCT WILL MEET YOUR SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OR THAT OPERATION WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SPRINKLESMARTER, LLC AND ITS OWNERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR PURCHASE OR USE OF THE PRODUCT, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROPERTY DAMAGE, WATER DAMAGE, OR LOSS OF DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF THESE TERMS OR YOUR PURCHASE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE PRODUCT.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Michigan.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the product after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
